About

Tim Vermeulen was born in Paterson, NJ. The sonof a funeral director, he was raised in a rigidly Calvinist household. He isunderstandably plagued with thoughts of guilt and damnation. He received a B.A.from Calvin College and an M.F.A. in Painting and Drawing from The Universityof Illinois Champaign/Urbana. Tim was an art professor for 17 years, first atTrinity Christian College in Palos Heights, IL, and then at Mount Saint Mary’sUniversity in Emmitsburg, MD. He is currently a full-time painter living inMaryland. Recent solo exhibitions include George Billis Gallery, Los Angeles (2016) George Billis Gallery, New York, NY (2014), Mount Saint Mary’sUniversity, Emmitsburg, MD (2013), Distinction Gallery,Escondido, CA (2011), Mt.
