VIP Preview | Aqua Art Miami

Wednesday, November 30 | 3 pm – 10 pm
The opening of Aqua Art Miami has become the traditional Wednesday destination of influential collectors, connoisseurs and art professionals who migrate en masse from Art Basel Miami Beach’s Vernissage a short walk away. The fun and festive atmosphere encourages many to linger late in the Aqua Hotel’s inviting open spaces and seize the opportunity to purchase captivating works before the fair opens to the public.



From Object to Idea: New Ways of Collecting Contemporary Art
Moderated by Paco Barragan, editor at ARTPULSE and well-known curator and art critic discusses how to build a contemporary art collection with three prominent collectors.


Korean Pop Arts vs. American Pop Art 
Moderated by the Korea Arts Management Service - What is Korean pop art? This session investigates Korean and American pop art scene by bringing foremost Korean and American pop artists from different contexts together. This discussion curiously considers how their work might different or relate, each offering their unique perspective on producing and exhibiting artwork. Attendees get a chance to meet both Korea’s and America’s foremost artists.

A networking reception hosted by the Korea Arts Management Service and the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.


Christie’s International Real Estate, the world’s leading luxury network will once again be a Main Sponsor of the Fair and will host an interactive booth at Art Miami showcasing top properties from around the world in conjunction with 15 of their top affiliates.

JW Marriott Marquis Miami and Hotel Beaux Arts Miami, the Official Luxury Hotels of Art Miami will host a special exhibition in conjunction with the fair of emerging and mid-career international talents on display in the hotel lobby.

Diamonds Unleashed will once again host an interactive booth at Art Miami. Diamonds Unleashed is a “profits with a purpose” brand founded by world-renowned jewelry designer Kara Ross to promote and support women’s empowerment. Through its multiple initiatives and philanthropic platforms, Diamonds Unleashed continues to drive the movement for women’s rights.

Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) once again will be the philanthropic benefactor of the VIP Previews for Art Miami and CONTEXT Art Miami. Pérez Art Museum Miami  promotes artistic expression and the exchange of ideas, advancing public knowledge and appreciation of art, architecture and design, and reflecting the diverse community of its pivotal geographic location at the crossroads of the Americas. is the Official Online Partner of Art Miami and CONTEXT Art Miami.  Artsy is the most comprehensive resource for learning about and collecting art from the world’s top galleries, museums, art fairs, and auctions. Collectors and art enthusiasts can use Artsy to browse exhibitor booths,make sales inquires on available art works, and access fair information online via and the Artsy app for iPhone & iPad.

Artsy’s exclusive online previews will launch in advance of the fairs on November 22 to the general public, with a special first-look for press and VIPs on November 21.

The Children’s Art Center will provide a safe playroom on-site at Art Miami for children ages 3-13, who are introduced to art while their parents visit the fairs. Children enrolled in the program will have exclusive access to participate in activities including art explorations, games, puzzles and storytelling. The Center will be open Wednesday through Saturday, 11am-6pm, Sunday 11am-5pm.
