About

N2 Galería represents and promotes the work of national and international artists, both emergent and consolidated, since 2005. To contribute to the internationalization and to the global positioning of their work, we participate in national and international artfairs of great prestige and support the art collecting.
It’s a big satisfaction for us to see our artists grow, advising and collaborating with them along their artistic careers.
In addition, as a transforming element of the cultural landscape, N2 it’s member of the Association of Galleries of Barcelona (Art Barcelona) and of the Consortium of Spanish Galleries. Together with both associations we engaged in initiatives that strengthen the cultural fabric and integrate the art in all the areas of the contemporary life.

  • Brigitta Both  (+)

Biography : Brigitta moved to Barcelona in 2015. After presenting her works for the very first time to curators, she had her first exhibitions and in 2017 she won the 15th BBVA de Pintura Ricard Camí Award for her painting Synchronized. A work for which the jury has highlighted the “perfect blend of two pictorial concepts, realism and abstraction, the approach to minimalism and the absence and silence that transmits through the contrast of black and white”. Her art career hit her like a storm, as she tells in an interview, winning the award took her as an incredible surprise. Since the Ricard Camí Award Brigitta has continued working in her Barcelona studio with various materials, recycled papers, acrylic paint, ink and video art.

Detailed Description : Fascinated by black and white photography, she paints in a minimalist, monochrome style as a simple yet powerful way to express the beauty of the infinite shades of human emotions. Interested and inspired by psychology, her works are profound pieces with a powerful psychological component that fuse the figurative and abstract worlds. Her subjects deal with our daily mental struggles, our desperate need for harmony, beauty, security and love in a world where those are not easy to find. Nevertheless, her works attempt to show that beauty is everywhere around us and the ability of recognising it can help us through the difficulties.

  • David Moreno  (+)

Detailed Description : David Moreno artworks can be defined as drawings in space. This series of works arises from the transfer of the two-dimensions of the paper to the three dimensions in sculpture forms. After the juxtaposition and grating different thicknesses of steel rods, a series of micro-atmospheres are generated. A unique motive is constantly repited in an addictive, disturbing and poetic way at the same time. The rhythm, gesture, line drawing and the experiment of drawing with thin steel rods is the basis for this exploration which results in small pieces with great delicacy and tenderness characteristics.

Detailed Description : Mario Soria's pieces are in oil on canvans (near to photo realism), mixed media on wood with small toys embedded in the frames. " My paintings are inspirited on world icons wrapped on surrealism atmospheres. They are a mix of American pop art and European traditional art that I like to call “Surrealism interstellar pop”. I’m like a hunter thinking what to create with all the things that cross my eyes. However my work process is very slow, I take too much care in details. My artwork is like small pages from my diary, influences from my past that I translate to the future".

  • Martín & Sicilia

Biography : José Arturo Martín (Tenerife, 1974) and Javier Sicilia (Tenerife, 1971) have been working together as a team since 1995. Since then their practice has been typified by the development of painterly, photographic or installational scenes in which the two artists include themselves as agents of apparently conventional situations. Be that as it may, following this initial narrative reading, their works soon begin to disclose other readings that deftly prompt us to question given value systems and towards a dialectic that adopts a fractious stance against the big issues challenging contemporaneity. By means of a concise narrative of the ordinary and through an action that is never arbitrary, the conflict subtly begins to percolate everyday life. It is at this juncture that Martín & Sicilia address, from a closeathand, familiar context, the difficulties the presentday subject stumbles across when negotiating the obstacles thrown his way by this world of uncertainty and confusion in which we are all caught up. They then try to reconstruct lost meaning and identity in order to find their way again, mapping their surrounding environs through hope, doubt, risk, fear, success, sense of humour, irony, sarcasm, fun, wounds and despondency, signposting the surveyed terrain with landmarks of experience, life scars and party lights, as they round out their lives with their way of being and of behaving, but also of subsisting, resisting and (re)existing.
