About

Lise Braun born 1974, Colmar France. In 1994, at the age of 20, I opened my first contemporary art gallery with my family, in Eastern France, near Switzerland and Germany. I then focused on design and represented the most important european design factories. I now have my own art gallery and display art, design and photography of my choice without compromise.

Landscape 07 - Denis Santelli

Denis Santelli Landscape 07
For the last 20 years, Denis’s been experimenting with various innovative technologies related to digital art including generative art, but Denis Santelli is a classically trained artist, his primary medium was oil paint on canvas. Today he paints in a 3D space using virtual reality technology.
Landscape is an important subject for Santelli that he links to our era of environmental transformation.
Influenced by Nicolas Poussin, Turner, Monet and also abstract expressionist artists like Cy Twombly and Joan Mitchell, Santelli’s paintings appear to have been created spontaneously but are constructed using compositional guideline and classical rules. Three-dimensional hand made brush strokes degraded by the artefacts that are specific to the digital medium are a vital element of his work.

Biography : In 1984, training course at Robert George's studio, he meets the Japanese painter Osamu Yamasaki who gives hem the impulse to the stroke, later he collaborated with the sculptors Vladimir Skoda and Dominique Labauvie. He opens his own studio in 1989 since then he never stops to deepen his work on the line, in 1996 it comes through the first etching series, the line chiseled in the plate. Painting, etching, drawing, he works, the models, he converts the line at the end into masses.

Exhibition : His work was shown in Europe: Paris, Strasbourg, Innsbruck, Frankfort, Karlsruhe, Bruxelles as well as in Japan and the United States.
    Last exhibitions:
Villa cernigliaro per arti e culture associazione, Italy: "allegore della percezione"
    Art Karslruhe
    Art Paris
    Art Wynwood

Detailed Description : His work is based on an original and abstract guideline, which is a concept that he calls as “ le mendiant ” (the beggar): an evolutionary, conceptual form that indicates the tone of his freedom, which focuses and guides in his strokes. Cornu defines himself as a “metaphysical artist,” instead of an abstract classical artist. He explores in his work the ethereal forms of calligraphy, that he identifies as sensations originated in the synergy adopted by the materials, the technique, and the complex philosophical framework, that he manifests in his speech and in the thorough result of his creation.

Detailed Description : Since 2018 Denis Santelli is painting in 3D space in Virtual Reality. He saw virtual reality painting as a natural extension of what he was already doing. His artwork and research explore the relationship between technology and the analog, the history and the prospective, the layering of time and history, the perspectives rising from creative encounters between art, science, technology, and culture. He’s combining aspects from European art and myth sources with digital languages, data, information and scientific visualization patterns. He is focused on the relationships between this exponentially growing techno-organism as it relates to our human bodies, minds, and psyches.
