BiographySun Choi earned a BFA in Painting at Hongik University, Seoul. Starting with the first solo exhibition in 2004, the artist has participated in thirteen solo exhibitions including "Sickness (CR Collective, Seoul, 2017)”; "Bruised Saliva (Gallery D, Geoje, 2018)”; Wastewater Painting (P21, Seoul, 2018)" and many group exhibitions. He was awarded with the Grand Prize of the 12th Song-Eun Art Award in 2013 as well as the Grant for Foreign Residency by Arts Council Korea in 2014 and 2015, which invited the artist to ISCP(International Studio & Curatorial Program) in New York. During the residency, the artist presented experimental works at the exhibition, which explored the notion of conventional art based on his experience in the Western society. His works are parts of collection at Uli Sigg (Switzerland), Seoul Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Art Busan, Art Bank MMCA, etc.
