Fi Jae Lee

(Seoul, Korea 1981 -)


Fi Jae Lee (b. 1981) graduated from a BFA and a MFA in Art and Technology Studies at School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has been living and working in Korea and abroad. Starting with the first solo exhibition early in 1997, the artist has participated in fifteen solo exhibitions so far recently including "Phanerozoic Eon, Cenozoic Era, Leeficene (Lotte Avenuel Art Hall 2019)"; "Enshrine our Woman Ancestors' Tablets (Zaha Museum of Art, 2018)"; "Finimism, Fnosticism (Artplace, 2018)" as well as a number of group exhibitions. She was granted with Arko Young Art Frontier Grant by Art Council Korea in 2009 and selected for Goyang Art Residency, MMCA in 2011, Nanji Residency, Seoul Art Museum of Art in 2014 and BilbaoArte Residency,Fundación Bilbaoarte Fundazioa in 2017.
