Jaelius “Mare Nostrum”

The pieces on the Gulf of Mexico and Caribean Sea come providentially as a continuation of the Mediterranean Sea series. Theese pieces ilustrate this other “casserole” closed to the west, north and south by the atlantic-american coast of the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribean Sea and to the east by the rosary of islands that limit this maritim platform beyond which is the ocean with a much deeper bottom. It is a scenary in which the three Americas look on, North, Central and South, also known as the American Mediterranean, in whose shapes we can look for the secrets and obscure reasons that determine the history “cooked” in it, beyond human influence.

CARIBEAN AND MEDITERRANEAN: STORY OF TWO SEAS
This elastic piece is about the geoplastic representation of a love story in which the lovers are two geographic characters: two Seas.
Presents a more loving visión of the “discovery” of America that can counterbalance the hardest angle usually mentioned: Violence at the service of the economy.
The two characters in this story are the Mare Nostrum, known as Mediterranean and the Caribean, also known as the American Mediterranean.
In my story the Mediterranean is male or yang and the Caribean femenine or yin.
It ́s a love story that begins millions of
years ago in the Jurasic period. Eurasia
and America were joined together, as
well as the two seas in our story, but the movements on the earth ́s crust tore them apart. The Mediterranean, as its shape clearly expreses, had a tendency towards the Caribean, the way platonic souls that, as two halfs of an orange, yearn to reunite and are predestinated to do it.
When the development of culture and the technical improvements linked to it acquire sufficient level in the Mediterranean, when it is “mature” enough, from it, departs an iniciatic journey, nuptial and fecundatory from the only exit of the Mare Nostrum in the direction it fiscally is pointing to the American Mediterranean:
The Columbus voyage.

Luis G. Mc Pherson “ POISON “ 2019

Small description of your general work
His work portrays in great detail everyday objects and spaces forgotten in time in a photorealistic style. In absence of a human figure, his paintings seek to abstract the functionality of the object, creating a diffuse aura of mystery in order to provoke questions in the viewer. Luis’ artworks show the artist's great technical skill when handling pictorial resources. The simplicity of his art surprises and catches the eye of anyone who looks at his paintings.

Salvador Santos “Geometry panel” 2019.

Salvador Santos carries out a profound study of this geometric composition that includes forms of minimalistic origin and pre-Columbian orientation combined, grouped and superposed, creating tensions through chromatic effects of space and vibration.

Salvador Santos “Projected Geometry III” 2019.

Salvador Santos applies light to the geometric elements of this composition in order to elevate it to a new dimension where harmony, serenity and spirituality prevail.

“Una mujer de blanco se levanta en el aire, su vuelo es de
destrucción, una superación de las fronteras y limites. Un salto hacia
lo desconocido, confiando en su rumbo hacia un mar lleno de luz”
