About the art piece 'Veins of Memories'
Dead leaves breathe again, their fragile veins painted back to life.
Each thread ties what was once lost — a quiet reminder that fragility can also hold strength. What we tried to keep becomes something else: stronger, scarred, alive.
Each piece explores how memory, desire, and transformation are bound together — how we harden through our own fractures.
Together, they speak of the beauty in breaking —of how every crack can become a line of strength.
İzim Çetindağ presents a series of four paintings that trace the romantic and political impressions nature leaves behind. Inspired by the global climate shifts that shape our collective experience rain, terocotta sunsets, sand storms and the ocean. Her work reflects the emotional weather of our times. Each painting becomes a visual meditation on transformation and endurance where beauty and tension coexist. Through layered tones and atmospheric gestures, the series invites viewers to contemplate the evolving relationship between humanity and the natural world.
The artist Demet Dayı paints to express what words cannot. Her process is intuitive and layered, shaped by texture, memory, and emotional residue. This piece is about presence in absence, what we choose to reveal or withhold.
She uses vertical gestures to suggest containment, but never full closure. Each layer is both a cover and a confession. Her work doesn’t speak loudly, it waits. And in that stillness, something personal often emerges for the viewer.
Philosophy of the Painting
This work explores the tension between concealment and revelation. Vertical strokes act as veils, partially hiding layers beneath, like memory, blurred but not erased. The palette shifts between silver, grays and golden warmth, evoking both erosion and resilience.
Rather than offering clarity, the painting invites stillness, a space to feel, not decode. It lives in ambiguity, where atmosphere becomes meaning.
