Red Fever

I painted Red Fever during the COVID-19 outbreak, when fear and uncertainty entered every part of daily life. Feeling responsible for my mother and daughter, I tried to offer them reassurance while keeping my own anxiety hidden.

Painting became a place where I could release the emotions I could not share. Through creating, I found a way to confront my fears and find the strength to keep going.

I dedicate this painting to all of us who lived through that difficult time—to the fears we carried quietly, the people we protected, and the resilience that sustained us.

The Encounter

In The Encounter, imprints of baseball gloves, snowshoes, and basket fragments become enigmatic forms in a semi-abstract composition. Their overlapping shapes suggest an intimate exchange, charged with tension and a subtle sexual undertone.

A rabbit before a window becomes the focus of this mysterious conversation, where tenderness mingles with domination and vulnerability meets the desire for control. The encounter remains unresolved, inviting viewers to imagine the unspoken relationship between the figures.
