About the Artist

Ilhwa Kim, "White Portrait 27", 2019, Hand-dyed hanji paper, 72.4 x 59.8 x 5.9 in. (184 x 152 x 15 cm.) Signed by the artist on verso.
+ More info
Ilhwa Kim's work 'Seed Universe' is composed of tens of thousands of seed units. Each seed unit has the combination of straight lines and circles, which compose a tiny single universe. The delicate surface whirlpool reminds that seeds are pushing and pulling themselves to sprout. However, the moment you watch it from a distance, the work becomes full of seed-waves lashed out from the boundary.

Maxim Wakultschik, a Belorussian artist based in Germany, produces works that, to a large extend, are mathematically precise and accurate constructions that create formal order from chaos of detached and separate elements. His complex and multilayered objects are product of interplay between lights and shadows, which produce colorful and deep illusion of reality.
Born in 1962 in Sichuan Province, China, Zhuang Hong Yi lives and works between The Netherlands & Beijing. The flower motif dominates Zhuang Hong Yi's work - a significant image in Chinese culture which carries countless meanings and emotions yet with equally strong associations with the Netherlands. Zhuang's well known and highly collected 'flower bed' works are crafted from delicate pieces of painted rice paper, which he has bent and folded into hundreds of tiny buds.
